WP 5: Topology optimisation for CFD problems in the automotive industry
Objectives:
- Development of a topology optimisation methodology for multi-physics problems for internal flow problems at moderate Reynolds number.
- Development of integrated multigrid approaches for the fully coupled design and analysis problem in order to solve large scale 3D problems on parallel computers.
- Integration of adjoint-based and OC-based topology optimisation: comparative assessment of range of applicability and performance at moderate and high Reynolds numbers.
- Development of guidelines for design implementation in terms of design resolution and convergence of optimisation algorithm (CPU time versus usability).
Tasks:
Task 5.1: Topology optimisation for CFD problems
Task 5.2: Industrial integration of CFD topology optimisation
