Research

WP3: Sensitivity analysis using adjoint methods

Objectives:

  1. Development of a robust, efficient and versatile open-source solver with continuous adjoint suitable for inclusion into the automotive PDP.
  2. Development of a solver-independent continuous adjoint solver suitable for pairing with any of the commercial CFD solvers in the automotive PDP.
  3. Development of a discrete adjoint solver using automatic differentiation from a complex commercial multi-physics CFD code.

Tasks:

Task 3.1: Open source adjoint solver (continuous)
Task 3.2: Solver-independent adjoint (commercial)
Task 3.3: Discrete adjoint solver (discrete, solver independent)
